The Ontario Creates Industry Development Program (IDP) supports trade and event organizations that are engaging in strategic initiatives in the book, magazine, film, television, and interactive digital media sectors.

Successful applicants may receive up to 75% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $35,000 in non-refundable grant contributions. Requests for higher amounts must be discussed with the appropriate program consultant

Eligible Applicants

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible for funding for this program, all three must apply to your organization:

  • Incorporated, not-for-profit Ontario or national trade and event organizations offering significant benefits to Ontario participants;
  • For national organizations, at least 60% of the organization’s membership must be Ontario-based; and
  • Applicants must be established organizations in operation for at least one full year and operating within the book, magazine, film, television, and/or interactive digital media sectors.
Accessible Technology Program (ATP)

Eligible Activities

There are two program streams:

  • Business Development – support to organizations for B2B industry activities and B2C audience development activities that offer opportunities for new business leads, sales, and relationships; and
  • Capacity Building – support for strategic activities that address challenges and opportunities or environmental changes that contribute to either the capacity of the applicant organization or its stakeholder group.
