OCI Market Readiness Program

Amount of Funding

The Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI) Market Readiness Program provides up to $250,000 in non-repayable grant funding to help high-potential Ontario startups accelerate commercialization, customer acquisition, and business growth.

Funding is designed to support early-stage companies that have already demonstrated market traction and are preparing for significant growth milestones, including seed-extension or Series A investment rounds. Successful applicants can use funding to support activities over a project period of up to 12 months.

The program helps reduce commercialization risk by enabling companies to validate business models, expand customer pipelines, and strengthen their ability to attract private-sector investment.

Funding levels are determined based on:

  • Project scope and commercialization objectives
  • Company stage and market readiness
  • Growth potential and scalability
  • Investment history and fundraising plans
  • Proposed milestones and expected outcomes

Applicants are expected to demonstrate a clear strategy for achieving measurable growth and attracting follow-on investment.
