In Manitoba, the Sustainable Agriculture Manitoba (SAM) program funds the adoption of beneficial management practices (BMPs) that increase the sector’s environmental and economic sustainability. Within three funding streams, the program funds a variety of BMPs.

- Ranging from 30% – 50% of total eligible costs, up to a max. amount ranging from $10K – $140K
Manure and Livestock Management
- Ranging from 50% – 75% of total eligible costs, up to a max. amount ranging from $85K – $855K
Water Management
- Ranging from 30% – 50% of total eligible costs, up to a max. amount ranging from $10K – $145K
Eligible Applicants
Eligible Applicants
Applicants must be BMP specific and may be:
- Primary Producers;
- Commercial Manure Applicators; and
- Custom Pesticide Operators.
