Yves Landry Foundation Funding for Training Via the Government of Canada supports manufacturers through their green initiative as they upskill employees and retrain their workforce to adopt and adapt green manufacturing principles at the shop floor level. This training may be used via this program to complete your total training plans inhouse.

Amount of Funding
Government of Canada funding through the Yves Landry Foundation provides non-repayable grant contributions to a maximum $100,000 towards eligible expenses.
- Receive up to 25-50% of eligible training expenses to a maximum $100,000 grant contribution (non-repayable).
- Contribution percentages are determined as follows:
- First time applicants – 50% of eligible costs; or
- Applicants who have received funding more than 24 months ago – 25% of eligible costs.
Eligible Applicants
Applicants for the Government of Canada funding through the Yves Landry Foundation may be eligible is they meet the following criteria:
- Have between 10-1000 employees in southern Ontario;
- Have been continuously in business for at least three years (3 years); and demonstrate financial stability;
- Operate a manufacturing facility or facilities in Southern Ontario;
- Demonstrate adoption/adaption of greening technologies in products or manufacturing processes; and
- Applicants who have received funding in the past 24 months are not eligible.
Eligible Activities
The program will support eligible training activities for manufacturers executing:
- Training to support the adaptation of new technology, processes, or procedures to support innovations linked to green innovation, increased competitiveness and expanded market access.
- Training that develops highly skilled personnel in any area that leads to innovation or productivity improvements to make the company greener and more competitive (i.e. engineering skills, software, new manufacturing methods, etc.)
Program Deadline
The following timelines apply:
- Two-stage application process.
- Training can start once application is approved.
- Funding is allocated upon training completion and final reporting.
