Access up to 60% funding to a maximum of $50,000 per business.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible Applicants

Applicants may be eligible if they meet these criteria:

  • Established food or beverage processor that is currently directly involved in the transformation of agricultural commodities, food, beverage, or Agri-based bio-products in Ontario;
  • Established farm business that is a legal entity and produces agricultural commodities under a valid Farm Business Registration Number (FBRN);
  • Business that provides primary food processing for fruit and vegetable crops (cutting, cleaning, packaging, storage, and refrigeration of raw plant foods);
  • Business that provides on-farm services where agriculture employees operate within close proximity (poultry catchers/vaccinators, professional barn cleaners, corn detasselers, hatcheries, transporters of agricultural commodities);
  • Agri-food industry organization incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation and has operations in Ontario; and
  • Pet food processors and restaurants are not eligible under the Program.
Accessible Technology Program (ATP)

Eligible Activities

Activities that need ongoing support that are necessary to guard the health and safety of workers/employees from COVID‑19:

  • Minor modifications throughout an agricultural operation or food processing facility;
  • COVID-19 testing for symptomatic employees;
  • On-site employer-based vaccination centers for vaccinations or boosters as well as the cost for rapid test kits; and
  • Providing arrangements to support worker/employee accommodations and work-site mobility that are necessary to address immediate health and safety issues due to COVID-19.
