DIGITAL has a Call for Proposals open to Grow Housing Production Capacity in B.C. The call will co-invest in projects in BC that harness data-driven digital innovation to help grow housing production capacity by focusing on three different types of opportunities: Digital Design, Digital Production & Logistics, and Catalysts. Projects should make an impact towards the production of new housing stock and accelerate the growth of housing production capacity.

Funding Amount
Discovery Projects can receive 50% to a maximum of $250K for projects up to 1 year. Trial Projects can receive 50% to a maximum of $800K for projects up to 2 years.
Eligible Applicants
Eligible teams must include at least 3 organizations, with the project lead being a Canadian or multinational enterprise, not-for-profit, or public sector organization registered in Canada and operating in British Columbia.

Eligible Applicants
Projects must be submitted by an eligible team consisting of at least 3 organizations.
- Project Lead must be a Canadian or a multi-national enterprise, not-for-profit or public sector organization legally registered to operate in Canada with an operational presence in British Columbia.
- Teams may recruit organizations from outside B.C. to access relevant capabilities and expertise.
- Academic partnerships are encouraged with opportunities to support researchers, graduate or coop students working on the project.
- An organization does not need to be a DIGITAL Member or Associate to submit an idea or Expression of Interest.
Eligible Activities
- Digital Design: Utilizing design as a tool for productivity improvements. The goal is to create a diverse portfolio of regulatory-compliant and innovative designs that facilitate housing growth.
- Digital Production & Logistics: Leveraging data to streamline the supply chain. The objective is to expand and develop scalable service and supply chains for modular, prefab, and housing components.
- Catalysts: An adaptable category aimed at addressing emerging challenges. The goal is to overcome growth limitations and enable development teams to tackle barriers to increase production capacity and housing.
Eligible Project Types:
- Discovery Projects – feasibility studies, assessments and proof of concept work to study needs, defined potential solutions and complete preliminary tests.
- Trial Projects – take defined solutions that have had some form of preliminary assessment and conduct pilot projects or full-scale trials.
