Canada Travelling Exhibitions Indemnification Program
Receive up to $700K in Indemnification Coverage.
The Canada Travelling Exhibitions Indemnification Program offers a process through which the Government of Canada assumes financial risk, responsibility, and provides compensation for damage or losses to objects and appurtenances in eligible travelling exhibitions. This is to mitigate the risk for exhibitions and encourages the circulation of travelling exhibitions.

Funding Amount
Access up to $700,000 in deductible coverage from the government should there be a valid insurance claim.
Eligible Applicants
(1) Domestic exhibitions shown at venues in at least two provinces within Canada or (2) Exhibitions where the total fair market value of objects borrowed from sources outside Canada exceeds that of the total fair market value of objects borrowed from inside Canada.

(1) Increase access for Canadians to heritage through the exchange of artifacts and exhibitions in Canada and;
(2) to provide Canadian art galleries, museums, and more with an advantage when competing for the loan of prestigious international exhibitions.
