Amount of Funding
- National total: $450 million over three years.
- Southern Ontario allocation: nearly $160 million.
- Up to $150 million of national funding aimed at businesses in the steel sector.

Eligible Applicants
- For-profit businesses in Southern Ontario that operate in the steel or automotive industries; and
- Meeting thresholds such as using at least 20% steel inputs (steel); or
- Having 20% inputs/outputs tied to auto and generating 50%+ revenue from automotive production.

Eligible Activities
- Projects enabling productivity improvements, market diversification, and supply-chain strengthening.
- Costs must be new, directly tied to project objectives, and;
- May be retroactive up to 12 months prior to the application, but no earlier than March 21, 2025.
