Funded by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), the Sustainable Growth and Adoption Program (SGAP) aims to support southern Ontario’s agri-tech businesses in adopting clean technologies and sustainable practices.

  • Up to 40% of total budget to a max of $100K

Note: if awarded funding you will be required to pay Bioenterprise a program management fee of 4%

Sustainable Growth and Adoption Program (SGAP)

Eligible Applicants

Must:

  • Be ready to adopt and integrate proven clean technologies and/or sustainable practices or process enhancements
  • Generate a minimum of $200,000 in annual revenues
  • Be incorporated in Canada and located in Ontario
  • Able to fund 60% of Eligible Project Costs
  • Be able to provide a statement of work from their vendor

Eligible Activities

  • Advisory Services / Professional Consultations
    Engaging third-party service providers or consultants to implement strategies that reduce environmental impact and promote operational sustainability.
  • Facility Audits / Energy Studies
    Conducting operational assessments to identify conservation measures and optimize processes, systems, and activities.
  • Product Integration / Adoption
    Supporting the integration or adoption of clean technologies into operations, including equipment costs.
  • Internal Employee Labour
    Involving new or existing staff in activities directly related to the execution of the project.
  • Other Technology Adoption or Consultation Assessment Activities
    Additional activities related to technology adoption or consultation assessments that support project goals.
