As part of the GIFMP’s Energy Efficiency Solutions (EES) Stream, financial assistance is provided to help businesses implement energy efficiency and energy management strategies that optimize energy efficiency, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions, and competitiveness.

Up to 100% of total eligible implementation costs to a maximum of $20 million for provincial-territorial and other governments and up to 75% of total eligible implementation costs to a maximum of $20 million for Private Sector For-profit.

Governments, departments, and agencies of provinces and territories will be eligible to receive the award.

Apply for This Funding Program
Give your application the best chance of approval. Ryan supports the writing of applications for more than 100 Canadian federal and provincial government grants, tax credits, and no-interest loan programs.
Amount of Funding
- Up to 100% of total eligible implementation costs to a max. of $20M for provincial-territorial and other governments or their departments and agencies & Non-for-Profit Organizations; and
- Up to 75% of total eligible implementation costs to a max. of $20M for Private Sector For-profit (such as utilities, training institutes, and industry associations).
Eligible Applicants
Applicants may be eligible for funding if they meet this criteria:
- Governments, departments, and agencies of provinces and territories will be eligible to receive the award;
- Utility services; and
- Other organizations with significant capacity at the regional or pan-Canadian level, such as not-for-profit groups, Indigenous organizations, training institutes, and industry associations.
Eligible Activities
Eligible activities for funding under this program may be:
- Training for Energy Management Practitioners;
- Energy assessments and audits;
- Energy managers;
- Energy management systems;
- Strategic Energy Management; and
- Capital investments.
