Eligible Applicants
To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
- Be a First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, governments, development corporations and organizations;
- Canadian businesses and not-for-profit organizations; or
- Provincial, territorial, regional or municipal government organizations.
Eligible Activities
Projects for the CERRC program should meet one of the following areas:
- Renewable Energy Technologies
- Solar;
- Wind;
- Hydropower, and more.
- Capacity Building
- Training, skills and curriculum development;
- Energy coordinators; and
- Energy literacy, and more.
- Energy Efficiency
- Building upgrades and retrofits;
- Measures like LED lights and efficient equipment; and
- Emerging technologies, and more.
- Heat
- Biomass heating, district heating, and combined heat and power systems;
- Biomass supply chains; and
- Geothermal, and more.
